# Attio tools in Cogny

Cogny's Attio integration exposes 22 tools (13 read, 8 write, 1 destructive) to an AI agent over MCP. The same tools are available on every plan, from your own AI client or inside the Cogny app.

- **Read** (13): only reads data.
- **Write** (8): creates or changes something.
- **Destructive** (1): deletes, removes or replaces something.

Over MCP your own AI client asks before it runs a write. To take a tool away from your agent, block it in Settings → Integrations.

## All tools

| Tool | Kind | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| `get_workspace_info` | Read | Identify the connected Attio workspace and the scopes your access token was granted. |
| `list_objects` | Read | List every object type in your Attio workspace (companies, people, deals, users and custom objects). |
| `get_object` | Read | Get one Attio object type by its api_slug (e.g. “companies”, “people”, “deals”). |
| `list_object_attributes` | Read | List the typed attributes of one object — their api_slug, type and format — so you can build create/update values. |
| `list_records` | Read | List records of an object (companies, people, deals, users or a custom object), optionally filtered and sorted. |
| `get_record` | Read | Get one record by its Attio record id. |
| `create_record` | Write | Create a new record on an object — a new company, person, deal, user or custom-object record. |
| `upsert_record` | Write | Create or update a record, matching on one attribute (e.g. email_domain for companies, email_addresses for people). |
| `update_record` | Write | Update the given attribute values on an existing record. |
| `list_lists` | Read | List the lists (pipeline stages) in your Attio workspace. |
| `list_list_entries` | Read | List the records on a given list (a pipeline stage), by the list's api_slug. |
| `add_record_to_list` | Write | Add a record to a list (a pipeline stage). entry_values are the list-entry attribute values, e.g. a deal's stage. |
| `update_list_entry` | Write | Update a list entry (e.g. move a deal to another stage) — pass the list's api_slug, the entry id and the new entry_values. |
| `remove_record_from_list` | Destructive | Remove a record from a list (a pipeline stage) by its entry id. |
| `list_notes` | Read | List the notes on a record (or across the workspace), optionally scoped to one record. |
| `get_note` | Read | Get one note by its note id. |
| `create_note` | Write | Write a note onto a record — parent_object (e.g. companies, people, deals) and parent_record_id plus the note text. |
| `list_tasks` | Read | List the tasks in your Attio workspace. |
| `get_task` | Read | Get one task by its task id. |
| `create_task` | Write | Create a follow-up task, optionally linked to a record, with a deadline ("YYYY-MM-DD" or ISO datetime) and assignees (Attio user or workspace-member resource ids). |
| `update_task` | Write | Update a task — change its content, deadline, completion or assignees. |
| `list_workspace_members` | Read | List the users in your Attio workspace (for task assignees and record ownership). |

Exact input schemas come from `tools/list` once Attio is connected; the free plan is enough to check.

Missing something? Your agent can ask for it with `request_feature`.
