Cogny Is in Slack: Ask Your Marketing Questions Where Your Team Already Talks
Most marketing questions start in Slack. Someone sees a dip, asks the channel what happened, and the answer arrives a day later, after someone has opened four dashboards.
From today you can ask Cogny there instead.
Ask in a DM or with an @mention
Add Cogny to your Slack from Settings → Slack, then send it a direct message or @mention it in a channel: "how did MRR do this month?", "why did sign-ups drop on Tuesday?", "which search terms brought traffic yesterday?".
Questions your start page already answers (how a KPI is doing, what yesterday's update said) come back in a few seconds. Questions that need more digging, like a breakdown by campaign or a list of accounts, go to the same chat agent you use in the app. It has every integration you've connected. While it works, a status line in the thread shows what it is checking, and the answer replaces it when it's done.
Answers are short so they fit in Slack without a "Show more". Each one links to the full chat in Cogny, where the complete analysis and the data behind it are.
Every thread is a chat
A Slack thread with Cogny is an ordinary chat in your Cogny workspace, listed with your other chats. Follow-ups in the thread continue the same chat. In a channel, the person who started the thread can reply without the @mention; anyone else in the thread @mentions Cogny, so the team can talk around a question without setting it off.
Cogny answers as the person asking. It matches each person by their Slack email to a member of your Cogny workspace, and uses that member's access, so it never shows anyone something they couldn't see in the app. People who aren't members get a reply saying so.
The daily KPI update, in a channel
When you connect, Slack asks you to pick a channel. Cogny's daily KPI update posts there as Cogny: only what changed and is worth acting on, with the next step. To ask about it, reply in its thread and @mention Cogny. You can still use an incoming webhook instead, under Settings → Metrics.
One Slack for all your clients
Agencies usually run one Slack with a channel per client. Connect each client's Cogny workspace to the same Slack. The first time someone asks Cogny in a client channel, an owner or admin of that client's workspace picks it once, and the channel stays connected. In DMs, each person picks the workspace they want and can say "switch workspace" to change it. Cogny only offers the workspaces the person asking belongs to, so one client's name never shows up in another client's channel.
What it costs
Cogny in Slack is on every plan. A question in Slack uses AI credits the same way a question in the in-app chat does: Free uses the signup credits, Solo uses top-up credits, and Cogny AI, Cogny Pro and Cloud use their monthly credits first. When credits run out, Cogny says so in the thread with a link to top up. Nothing is charged automatically.
What's stored
Messages sent to Cogny, and its answers, are stored as chats in your Cogny workspace and deleted with it. Other messages in channels Cogny is in are not stored. Disconnecting Slack stops Cogny answering for that workspace; the chats stay in Cogny.
Connect it from Settings → Slack.
