Cogny Now Remembers Across Chats on Every Plan
Until today, if you were on Free, Solo, Cogny AI, Cogny Pro or an AppSumo licence and asked the Cogny chat to remember something, it told you it couldn't carry notes between conversations and pointed you to Settings → Context instead. That was true, and it was a bad answer. From today the chat remembers on every plan.
What it does
Ask the chat to remember a fact and it saves a note that every later chat, ticket run and loop in the workspace reads before it answers. The same happens when you and the agent settle something together that should stay settled: which of two conflicting numbers to trust, how you define a lead, a tracking quirk that cost ten minutes to find, how you want results presented. Correct a note later and the correction replaces it.
Notes are rules, not findings. "Meta's custom conversion double-counts against purchase; use purchase for donation counts" is a note. "August had 873 donations" is not, and the agent won't save it. A workspace holds up to 40 active notes; beyond that, new ones wait until older ones are consolidated.
When the agent saves something, it says so in one line, so you know it stuck.
What it does not replace
Your Brand & Context, measurement plan and daily KPI updates still open every chat, on every plan. Those describe your business. Memory is for the smaller, specific things you would otherwise repeat at the start of each conversation.
Why it was Cloud only, and why it isn't any more
Cross-chat memory shipped in September on Cloud first, as a careful rollout rather than a packaging decision. Nothing about it depends on the plan, and the first thing an AppSumo reviewer told us this week was that the chat had no memory. Fair. It does now, everywhere.
