Your Start Page Now Graphs Any Connected Tool: PostHog, AppsFlyer, Plausible, Matomo and More

Your Cogny start page is a row of KPI graphs: the last 30 days against the same days five weeks earlier, markers where changes shipped, a one-line daily update under each graph when something moved. Until today those graphs came from seven integrations Cogny knew how to read by hand: Google Ads, Google Analytics 4, Search Console, Bing Webmaster Tools, Stripe, HubSpot and X Ads. Everything else you had connected sat in the Connections panel as "no graph yet", and the only way around it was a custom metric written as SQL on BigQuery.

Most workspaces don't have BigQuery. They have MCP connections. So from today, any connected tool can put a KPI on the start page.

    What changed

PostHog, AppsFlyer, Plausible, Matomo, Piwik PRO, Fathom, Mixpanel, and your own MCP servers are graphable. When a connection isn't one of the seven Cogny reads by hand, Cogny works out how to read it: it looks at the tool's read-only capabilities, decides which of them return a number per day, and proposes the handful of KPIs a growth team would watch there: installs, sessions, page views, sign-ups, purchases, conversions, revenue, cost.

Every KPI is verified before you see it. Cogny doesn't guess. Each candidate is run against your actual account for the full window, and it is only offered if it comes back as a daily series: real rows inside the date range, one per day, not a single total and not the same number repeated across the month. A KPI that fails that bar is dropped, and you see why. What you add to the page is a read that has already worked.

One click to add a graph. Under Settings → Metrics, "Add a graph for PostHog" (or any other connection) lists the KPIs Cogny found, each with its 30-day total. Click "Add graph" and it's on your start page, with the companion comparison, the daily update, "Improve in chat" and the Experiments button like every other graph.

Describe the metric you want. If the KPI you care about isn't in the list, type it in a sentence: "purchases per day", "installs from paid campaigns", "sign-ups excluding internal users". Cogny writes the read for exactly that, tries it against your account, and adds it if it works.

Cogny asks when it has to. Some tools can't list what they hold. AppsFlyer has no way to enumerate your apps, Plausible none to list your sites, Mixpanel none to list event names. Instead of guessing, Cogny asks you for the one thing it needs, once, and remembers it.

The start page picks graphs for new connections on its own. With "Pick a KPI for new connections" on (the default), Cogny looks at a newly connected tool on the next refresh and adds its busiest KPI, exactly as it already did for Google Ads or Search Console.

    PostHog in particular

PostHog's API lists events but doesn't count them, and a list capped at a thousand rows can't tell you how many sign-ups you had last Tuesday. So the Cogny PostHog integration gained two tools today: get_event_trend counts an event per day, week or month over a date range (total, unique users, unique sessions, or a sum or average of a property), and run_hogql runs one HogQL SELECT for anything a trend can't express. Both are reads, both are available to your own agent over MCP as well as to the start page.

    What stays the same

Nothing moves for the seven integrations Cogny already read by hand; they keep their hand-tuned KPIs, companions and spend-aware daily updates. The measurement plan and the start page's funnel are still built from Google Analytics 4. And if you do have BigQuery, SQL metrics are still there, under "Add a SQL metric".

    Try it

Open your start page, then Settings → Metrics. If you have a connection without a graph, you'll see it under "Add a graph for". Click it, give Cogny a minute, and pick.
