TikTok Social Is Now in Cogny: Comments, Mentions, Trends and Post Insights for Your Agent

TikTok released its Social MCP server this week: a set of tools for the organic side of a TikTok account, built and run by TikTok. Cogny now connects to it directly. Sign in with TikTok once, and your agent can work your comments, mentions, trends and post insights next to the rest of your marketing data.

    TL;DR

    • Connect with one TikTok sign-in from Settings → Integrations → TikTok Social. No developer app, no API key.
    • Comments: read, summarize and reply to comments on your videos.
    • Mentions: track what people say about your brand.
    • Trends: trending keywords, hashtags and Commercial Music Library tracks.
    • Insights: account benchmarks, audience sentiment and per-post insights.
    • Works with TikTok Ads: spot an organic video that is taking off, then turn it into a Spark Ad through the TikTok Ads integration.
    • Included in Cogny Solo ($9/mo) and every plan above it.

    What you can ask for

    GoalExample request
Plan content"Pull the most common questions from comments on my last 10 videos, find trending hashtags around them, and draft three post ideas."
Look after the community"Find today's brand mentions, flag anything negative, and draft replies to the 10 most-liked comments for me to approve."
Report"How did my posts this month do against last month — views, engagement and follower growth?"
Organic to paid"Which of my videos from the last two weeks is performing far above my average? Suggest it as a Spark Ad."

Replies to comments are posted on TikTok in your name, so Cogny asks before each one unless you choose otherwise in the connection's tool settings.

    Limits worth knowing

    • Publishing videos and photos isn't available through TikTok's Social MCP yet. TikTok says posting needs a separate integration for now.
    • TikTok allows 6 calls per second per tool for each account.
    • The sign-in lasts one year. After that, Cogny asks you to sign in with the same account again.
    • TikTok notes that which tools you see can vary by region and account type.

    How to connect

    1. Open Settings → Integrations in your Cogny workspace and find TikTok Social under Community.
    2. Click Connect and sign in with the TikTok account you post from.
    3. Ask your agent. The tools are there in the Cogny chat and for any agent on app.cogny.com/mcp.
