Automate a weekly marketing performance report with AI
Connect GA4, Search Console and your ad accounts, ask your AI for the report once, then schedule it. How a small team sets it up, what the report should include, and how each run can end in a change that gets measured.
How can a small team automate weekly marketing reports with AI?
Connect GA4, Search Console and your ad accounts, ask your AI for the report you want once, then schedule it. In Cogny, a finished chat becomes a Loop that reruns weekly on Solo, Cogny AI and Cogny Pro, and each run is its own measured ticket. Cloud ($499/month) adds scheduled reports with 70+ templates for a team. The data stays in your own connected accounts.
What should a weekly marketing report include?
Keep it to what someone will act on. The week's totals against the previous week for sessions, conversions and revenue from GA4. Spend, conversions and cost per conversion per ad channel. Organic clicks and the pages that gained or lost them in Search Console. Then the two or three things that moved most, a likely reason for each, and one proposed next step. A table nobody reads is not a report.
Can the report turn into actions?
Yes. Each run can end with one concrete next step, such as a budget shift, a paused keyword or a title rewrite. You approve it and Cogny ships it in the tool. The change becomes a ticket, measured three days later for ads and seven for content and SEO, and closed as worked, partial, didn't work or inconclusive. Next week's report starts from what the last change did.
How to set up the weekly report, step by step
- Connect the sources. In Cogny, connect GA4, Search Console and the ad accounts you use (Google Ads, Meta Ads, LinkedIn Ads and others).
- Ask for the report once. In the Cogny app or your own AI: "Compare last week with the week before across GA4, Search Console and Google Ads. Show what moved most and propose one next step."
- Refine it. Ask for the sections you want and drop the ones you don't, until the answer is the report you would send.
- Make it a Loop. On Solo, Cogny AI or Cogny Pro, choose Create Loop on the finished chat and pick the weekly schedule (Monday morning). On Cloud, use a scheduled report instead.
- Decide what it may do. When you create the Loop, pick the tools it may use. It writes only with those tools, and every change it ships is measured.
- Read the verdicts. The ticket board shows what each change did. Keep what worked; the misses stay on the record too.
Frequently asked questions
Which plan do I need?
Loops are on Solo ($9/month), Cogny AI ($18/month, 150 credits) and Cogny Pro ($90/month, 1,500 credits); the three have the same features and differ only in credits. On Free, loops are part of Solo. Cloud ($499/month, 5,000 credits) adds a team workspace and scheduled reports with 70+ templates.
Can I build the report from Claude or ChatGPT instead of the Cogny app?
Yes. Connect Cogny over MCP and ask from your own AI. Solo, Cogny AI and Cogny Pro can also create loops from their own AI.
Where does the data live?
In your own connected accounts. Cogny reads GA4, Search Console and your ad platforms through their APIs when the report runs.
Can a Loop change things without asking?
Only with the tools you grant it. When you create a Loop you pick which tools it may use, and every write is logged with who authorised it. It cannot write with tools outside the grant, and a blocked tool is refused.
