Constant Contact MCP for your AI agent

Cogny's Constant Contact integration exposes 22 tools (14 read, 7 write, 1 destructive) to an AI agent over MCP. The same tools are available on every plan, from your own AI client or inside the Cogny app.

    • 14readonly reads data.
    • 7writecreates or changes something.
    • 1destructivedeletes, removes or replaces something.

Over MCP your own AI client asks before it runs a write. To take a tool away from your agent, block it in Settings → Integrations. Plans, approvals and limits

    set it up.

Add Cogny to your AI client once, then connect Constant Contact in Cogny. Every Constant Contact tool below appears in the client.

    • Claude CodeRun claude mcp add --transport http cogny https://app.cogny.com/mcp, then authorise in the browser.
    • Claude.aiSettings → Connectors → Add custom connector, URL https://app.cogny.com/mcp, then log in and pick your workspace.
    • ChatGPTSettings → Apps → Advanced settings → Developer mode → Create app, URL https://app.cogny.com/mcp, authentication OAuth.
    • CursorIn Cogny, Settings → Data & Integrations → Connect AI Clients shows the block to paste into .mcp.json, with an API key.
    • CodexRun codex mcp add cogny --url https://app.cogny.com/mcp.

    Connecting and limits

Constant Contact connects with a sign-in, not an API key. Sign in as the account owner, or as a user who may send campaigns and manage contacts. Cogny asks for four permissions: read account details, read and manage contacts, read and manage campaigns, and stay connected without signing in again.

A campaign can only be sent from one of the account's confirmed email addresses; tool_list_account_emails shows which those are.

    Known gaps

    • Cogny creates and edits custom-code (HTML) emails. Emails built in Constant Contact's drag-and-drop editor can be read and reported on, but not edited.
    • Contacts Cogny adds are recorded as added by the account owner. No tool re-subscribes a contact who opted out.
    • No tool deletes contacts, lists or campaigns.
    • A test send goes to at most 5 addresses, and Constant Contact allows 50 test recipients a day.
