LinkedIn Organic MCP for your AI agent

Cogny's LinkedIn Organic integration exposes 16 tools (9 read, 5 write, 2 destructive) to an AI agent over MCP. The same tools are available on every plan, from your own AI client or inside the Cogny app.

    • 9readonly reads data.
    • 5writecreates or changes something.
    • 2destructivedeletes, removes or replaces something.

Over MCP your own AI client asks before it runs a write. To take a tool away from your agent, block it in Settings → Integrations. Plans, approvals and limits

    set it up.

Add Cogny to your AI client once, then connect LinkedIn Organic in Cogny. Every LinkedIn Organic tool below appears in the client.

    • Claude.aiSettings → Connectors → Add custom connector, URL https://app.cogny.com/mcp, then log in and pick your workspace.
    • ChatGPTSettings → Apps → Advanced settings → Developer mode → Create app, URL https://app.cogny.com/mcp, authentication OAuth.
    • CursorIn Cogny, Settings → Data & Integrations → Connect AI Clients shows the block to paste into .mcp.json, with an API key.
    • CodexRun codex mcp add cogny --url https://app.cogny.com/mcp.

    Connecting and limits

Connecting signs in as one LinkedIn member. The connection reaches that member's own profile and every company Page the member administers, and the picker shown right after connecting (and later under Settings → Integrations → LinkedIn Organic → Edit accounts) chooses which of those the workspace may post as and read. Everyone in the workspace can use the ones chosen; the rest are refused with the reason, and tool_list_organizations only lists the enabled Pages. A Page needs the Super admin or Content admin role to post as it; any admin role is enough for its statistics.

Posts on the member's own profile are write-only: LinkedIn does not let apps read a personal profile's posts, comments or analytics back. tool_list_scheduled_posts with status='published' is the record of what was posted from Cogny.

    Known gaps

    • A scheduled post is published by Cogny within a minute of its time; LinkedIn itself has no scheduling, so it will not appear in LinkedIn's own scheduled list.
    • Post reads, comments and statistics work for Pages only, not for personal profiles.
