    Pinterest Ads MCP for your AI agent

    Cogny's Pinterest Ads integration exposes 16 tools (10 read, 6 write) to an AI agent over MCP. The same tools are available on every plan, from your own AI client or inside the Cogny app.

    New connections open once Pinterest approves Cogny's app for Ads API access.

    Over MCP your own AI client asks before it runs a write. To take a tool away from your agent, block it in Settings → Integrations. Plans, approvals and limits

    set it up.

    Add Cogny to your AI client once, then connect Pinterest Ads in Cogny. Every Pinterest Ads tool below appears in the client.

    Connecting and limits

    Connecting asks for five Pinterest permissions: read and edit advertising data, read boards, read Pins, and read your account details. Cogny does not ask to create, edit or delete Pins or boards.

    The tools reach the ad accounts your Pinterest login has a role on. After connecting you pick which of them the workspace may use; the others are refused.

    New campaigns, ad groups and ads are created paused. Nothing starts spending until someone activates it.

    Analytics cover at most 90 days per request and go back up to 914 days.

    Known gaps

    • No tool creates a Pin. A Pinterest ad promotes an existing Pin, so the Pin is made on Pinterest first; tool_list_board_pins then finds it and tool_create_ad promotes it.
    • No tools for keywords, negative keywords, catalogs or product groups yet. Shopping campaigns can be read and paused, not built.
    • No tool creates or edits audiences. tool_list_audiences reads the ones made in Ads Manager, and their ids work in ad group targeting.
