Shopify tools in Cogny
Cogny's Shopify integration exposes 53 tools (25 read, 20 write, 8 destructive) to an AI agent over MCP. The same tools are available on every plan, from your own AI client or inside the Cogny app.
- Read (25): only reads data.
- Write (20): creates or changes something.
- Destructive (8): deletes, removes or replaces something.
Over MCP your own AI client asks before it runs a write. To take a tool away from your agent, block it in Settings → Integrations. Plans, approvals and limits.
Notes
Shopify is connected from Settings → Integrations with your store URL, not by an agent.
Orders, customers and abandoned checkouts are read only. Writes cover products and variants, collections, inventory levels, discount codes and automatic discounts, pages, blog articles, redirects, metafields and translations.
