    who AI recommends for marketing.

We asked ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini and Perplexity 50 questions a marketer asks when choosing tools. Cogny came up in 5 of the 45 questions that don't name us. HubSpot came up most.

    1. Run on 14 October 2026: 50 questions × 4 engines = 200 answers, each with web search on. Engines and versions: ChatGPT (gpt-5.5-2026-04-23), Claude (claude-opus-5-5), Gemini (gemini-2.5-flash), Perplexity (sonar).
    2. Question groups: category (15) questions are based on the non-brand searches that reached cogny.com in Google Search Console from July to October 2026; problem (15) asks how to get a marketing job done, most of them based on the same searches or on pages people find us through; comparison (10) asks for alternatives to named tools; Swedish (5) asks in Swedish with a Swedish location; brand (5) names Cogny.
    3. “Mentioned” means the brand name appears in the answer text. “Cited” means a cogny.com page is among the answer's sources.
    4. Run with Cogny's own AI visibility check, the same tool customers use, from our own workspace.

Download the data (CSV, 200 rows) · one row per question and engine: mentioned, cited, brands named. No answer text.

    07caveats
    1. One run. AI answers change from one ask to the next, so compare rates across runs, not single answers.
    2. We chose the questions and the brand list. Another set of questions would give other numbers.
    3. “Cogny” is also the name of other things (places in France, other apps). That is why brand questions are excluded from the headline.
    4. Gemini cites through redirect links, so for Gemini only the cited domain is known, not the page.
    08next run

We plan to re-run the same 50 questions after the relaunch of cogny.com and then about once a month, and to publish each run here next to this one.
